So the "New Thinking" appears to be based on not listening to the majority of Avid users, but only to the "elite" users who have paid Avid to listen via (grossly overpriced) service contracts. Government, (Federal, state, county, local, executive, legislative, judicial, law enforcement, military, product development and testing) telemedicine, and other medical applications, education and training, intra-organization communication - all these arenas dwarf network and hollywood markets even when the "private" sector (wedding/event and "personal production") is left totally out of the equation or tossed on the Hollywood side of the scale. The point is that national broadcast and theatrical release content production accounts for less than 5% of the portion of GNP in professional film and video production. I was reacting to the suggestion that MojoDX pricing was a drop in the bucket and a few hours of work for editors of HDCAM-SR, Varicam, CineAlta and other national network, digital cinema targetted formats.
